ASTM A537 Class 2 / ASME SA537 Class 2

Heat treated carbon manganese silicon steel plates intended for fusion welded pressure vessels and structures such as Steel Boilers, Storage Tanks, Cryogenic Tanks, API 650 and API 620 Tanks. Higher yield and tensile strength compared to Class 1, making it suitable for applications in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industry.

According to both ASTM and ASME standards Class 2 plates shall be delivered in Quenched and Tempered condition. 

The dimensional steel plate supply ranges from;

• 1/4 inches [6mm] up to 6 inches [150mm] in thickness

• 40 inches [1000mm] up to 160 inches [4050mm] wide

• up to 82 feet [25m] long
